PNP-Kalinga invites LGBTQs to join ‘Linyahan’ Tiktok challenge

Tabuk City, Kalinga - Members of the LGBTQ (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer) in the province were being invited by Philippine National Police-Kalinga to join the ‘Linyahan’ program, where gift packages await the top 10 winners.


Linyahan is a contest where the contenders select one famous Filipino movie or ‘teleserye’ line to dramatize using the Tiktok App.


Said PNP - LGBTQ partnership project hopes to promote and engage the sector in the ongoing campaign against the communist insurgency, illegal drugs, extremist terrorism, as well as to promote disaster mitigation.


During ‘Reaching out to the LGBTQ Community as a partner in Crime Prevention’ dialogue held on October 2, 2021, some LGBTQ gathered for the program orientation with the PNP personnel.


Police Community Relations, Police Senior Master Sergeant Alvius Cordero, along with Police Corporal (PCpl.) Ramcey Palangyo and PCpl. Christina Gumilab, gave the program overview and explained the mechanics of the Linyahan.

Mechanics and Criteria of ‘Linyahan’ Tiktok challenge


The total running time (TRT) of each entry shall not be more than 120 seconds or 2 minutes. This will include the introduction of the participant.


Entries exceeding TRT shall automatically be disqualified.


Criteria for the winning entries including delivery or the ‘believability of the character portrayed is 40%, originality or uniqueness of the presentation is 20%, costume and stage presence 20%, and audience impact for 20%.

Deadline of submission will be on October 15, 2021.


PNP- Kalinga through Provincial Crime Laboratory Office shall be collating entries and will be forwarding it to higher offices.


The top ten winners will be selected and shall be given gift packages from the sponsors.


‘Linyahan’ is part of the ‘Misis ng Pulis’ program aired via Police Community Affairs and Development Group (PCADG) hosted by Rosalie Eleazar, the wife of current PNP Chief, and Leticia Cruz, wife of PRO4A Regional Director, PBGEN Eliseo DC Cruz.
