Lubuagan, Kalinga – “Nu saan nga importante ket saan dan kuma nga rumrumwaren,” said Mayor Charisma Anne Dickpus in a recent interview, underscoring the importance of avoiding more face-to-face contacts which could increase possibility of infection.

In a recent Executive Order (EO), Tabuk amended its EO stating that Travel Passes are no longer required to be presented by individuals from different municipalities within Kalinga passing thru the Bantay Quarantine Checkpoint. Travellers are only required to present their Valid Identification Cards (IDs) at the said checkpoint.

“Ngem saan kuma ta gapu ta Valid ID laengen ti requirement ket nalakan ti rumwar. Kitaen tayo a nu talaga nga essential kasla kuma dijay gumatang ti mailako, makan, mapan agpacheck-up ken dadduma pay nga lakad nga importante,” Dickpus added.

Mayor Dickpus likewise recapitulated the importance of following basic health protocols “ta saan nga gapu ta naikkan ti travel pass ket malipatanen ti ag-facemask ken social distancing and washing of hands” especially when they travel to other places.

She emphasized that residents should not be complacent even if CoViD-19 cases of Lubuagan are few.

“We do not know if places we visit have unknown cases, nu ngay bigla gayam nga adda positive case ijay napanan da? Ket bigla da agawid ditoy Lubuagan nga na-infect da gayam? So I am appealing to our kailyans nga saan da kuma nga agkampante ta pamilya da met lang ti kaasi nga maakaran karkaru dagiti lallakay, babbaket ken uubbing,” she expressed.

Additionally, she reminded that social gatherings must be strictly avoided citing Lubuagan’s advisory of prohibiting all forms of mass gatherings such as entertainment activities, community assemblies, religious gatherings, non-essential work gatherings and other crowd-drawing activities to safeguard the health and safety of the Lubuagan residents and to control the possible surge of CoViD-19 transmission as contact tracing is still ongoing.

Meanwhile, she reminded iLubuagens to respect and follow other LGUs’ protocol when visiting as “we expect our own visitors to adhere to our protocols when visiting Lubuagan, so we also respect and follow theirs.”

Travel Authority (TA) for iLubuagen residents travelling outside Kalinga can be obtained by securing first a medical clearance from the Lubuagan Municipal Health Office (MHO) or Rural Health Unit (RHU) that will be submitted at the Lubuagan Municipal Police Station (MPS) before issuance of the said TA.
