Boliney, Abra – Country singer Romeo Ogong, popularly known to many of his followers as the “Southern Cowboy,” is set to perform at the upcoming Palanos and Tingguian Festival in Boliney, Abra, on March 28.

On his Facebook page, Ogong announced his upcoming performance in the town as part of the festival celebration that highlights Tingguian culture and community festivities.

“Saddle up, Abra! The Southern Cowboy is coming to Boliney! The rhythm of the South meets the heart of the North. Join Romeo Ogong, ‘The Southern Cowboy,’ for an unforgettable night of music and celebration at the Boliney Palanos and Tingguian Festival!” he wrote.

The musical performance is scheduled from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. on the said date, promising a night where country music will blend with the rich culture of the Tingguian people.

“Get ready for a fusion of country vibes and rich Tingguian culture. It’s going to be a legendary night under the stars,” Ogong added.

Hailing from General Santos City in Sarangani Province, Ogong has won the hearts of many Cordillerans through his country music–style performances and online content.

Fans have also pointed out that although he is from Mindanao, his singing style closely resembles that of vocalists from the Cordillera region.
