Baguio City, Philippines – After passing the validation of the Department of Social Welfare and Development, over 9,300 families are set to be included in the list of beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program in the Cordillera Region.

Fatima Florendo, Regional Program Coordinator and Division Chief of 4Ps in the Cordillera, revealed this in their radio program aired through DZWT of the Mt. Province Broadcasting Corporation Wednesday, December 8.

Florendo said that qualified are those families who were part of the "Listahanan".

“Lahat po ng qualified beneficiaries ng pantawid pamilya, lahat po yan ay dumaan sa listahanan. So, lahat po ito, yung 9,300 plus, eto po yung result ng Listahanan 2 natin na ang category nila ay nasa near poor,” Florendo said.

Listahanan is an information management system that identifies who and where the poor are.

As reiterated by Florendo, those qualified as beneficiaries for the program are those with zero to 18 years old children, those who do not have a regular income or are from ‘poorest of the poor, and those who are willing to adhere to the conditions set by the program.

Among these conditions include the monthly check-up of beneficiaries in health centers, benefiting children should be studying (a maximum of three children in each household beneficiary), and should participate in monthly family development sessions.

Florendo informed that the list is open to the public and that if they have concerns or complaints regarding those included in the list, they are encouraged to report it to concerned offices for appropriate action.

At present, Florendo said there are 56,991 active 4Ps beneficiaries in the region and the province which has the highest family beneficiaries is Abra.

For Kalinga, it has 10,036 household beneficiaries, Benguet has 9,989, Ifugao has 8,786, Apayao has 6,698, Mountain Province has 5,536 and Baguio City has 2,683 recipients.
