Paracelis continue to implement blended learning modality amidst extreme heat

Paracelis, Mt. Province – With extreme heat still lingering in most areas in the country, students in Paracelis will continue to learn through blended modality until the end of the month.

Earlier this April, many schools shifted to alternative learning modes due to the scorching heat being felt in most areas in the country. In fact, PAGASA warned about dangerous heat index ranging 42°C to 46°C in 25 places this month.

Considering the health and welfare of the learners and their teachers, Mayor Marcos Ayangwa of Paracelis was one of the local chief executives who ordered the implementation of blended learning among schools in all levels.

He first ordered the shift to said modality from April 18 – 23, 2024.

With the extreme weather still being felt in the country, Ayangwa extended the observance of alternative learning modality in Paracelis until April 30, 2024.

This allows students to attend on-site classes in the morning, then learn asynchronously in the afternoon.

The order, however, exempts senior high school students who are undergoing immersion. They are still to report to the respective offices they were deployed for the whole day.
