‘Human error’ caused SUV to plunge into ravine, killing 3 in Tuba, Benguet, police say

Tuba, Benguet - After thorough investigations, police disclosed on Thursday, April 24, that ‘human error’ appears to be the cause of the accident that occurred in Tuba, Benguet last week.

In his interview with local media, PNP - Tuba Chief Crispin Simon said their investigations revealed that Jaspher, who drove the SUV, is not familiar with the section of the road where he overtook.

This caused the vehicle to fall straight into the 100-meter ravine.

It can be recalled that the incident, which transpired along the road in Sitio Begis, Taloy Sur, Tuba on April 20, resulted in the death of three individuals while three others were injured.

The casualties were identified as Ian Marcuap,  Jaspher Marcuap, and Rodolfo Marcuap while the injured individuals were identified as Kristel Marcuap, Kieffer Marcuap, and Justin Marcuap.

The victims were residents of Candelaria, Quezon, except for Rodolfo who was a resident of Purok East, Gibraltar, Baguio City.

The bodies of the casualties were already claimed by their families, while the injured individuals went home.
