Pasil remains generally peaceful with only 3 crimes recorded in 6 months

Pasil, Kalinga – The Municipality of Pasil remains generally peaceful with only 3 crimes recorded for the first six months of 2021, says Philippine National Police (PNP) of Pasil.

These crimes include a vehicular traffic accident and two cases of violation of Presidential Decree 705 or the Revised Forestry Code of the Philippines.

Pasil Acting Chief of Police, Police Lieutenant Torres, disclosed that the road accident happened in March in Limood, Balinciagao Sur, where a van lost brake and fell into a 500-meter ravine. He added that two individuals, a husband and a wife, died in the incident while the driver of the van was injured.

Moreover, as to the two violations of the Revised Forestry Code of the Philippines, two cases of abandoned lumbers were recovered by the police.

All three cases were solved.

The acting chief of police said that the Municipality of Pasil is generally peaceful and that no severe or serious offenses were committed. He added that this is because of the continuous cooperation of the community and the effort of the barangays to solve and settle minor cases that fall within their jurisdiction.

Meanwhile, for 2020, a total of 4 crime incidents were reported. These include a violation of Republic Act 9262 or the Anti-Violence Against Women and Their Children Act of 2004, reckless imprudence resulting to physical injury, frustrated homicide, and reckless imprudence resulting to homicide. All of these cases were also considered solved.
