Tabuk City, Kalinga – A 20-year-old woman was minding her aunt’s store in Nasgueban, Appas when her phone was taken away at knife point by a man who came to the shop borrowing screw driver on Saturday, January 17.

The store owner and aunt of the victim, in an interview with GURU Press Cordillera, said that her niece was at the store when an unidentified man came asking for a screw or a knife because his motorcycle broke down.

Her niece lent the man a knife since she did not have a screw driver. Moments later, the man came back to get a soft drink and to return the knife. However, to the victim’s surprise, the man grabbed her hand and pointed the sharp object towards her as he takes her phone.

“Haan na nadangran ta inwasiwas diay kaanakak diay ima na nga ginamatan na santo nagpukkaw nga dagus ket tinmaray metten diay lalaki,” the store owner recounted.
