Seven injured in Tabuk City motorcycle collision

Tabuk City, Kalinga — Seven individuals were injured following a collision between a kulong-kulong and a motorcycle on Sunday noon, July 3, in Barangay Appas, Tabuk City.


Initial investigation of the Tabuk City police said that the Kulong-kulong was traversing the Provincial Road towards the direction of Dagupan when the incident happened. The vehicle was driven by a 20-year-old student, Davester Mewag, and was ferrying four passengers.


Upon arriving in Barangay Appas, the kulong-kulong and a motorcycle driven by a certain Billy Canao, 35 crashed against each other. The report said that one of the screws of the kulong-kulong fell off causing the driver to lose control of the vehicle.


The crash resulted into the injuries of the passengers of both vehicles.

The victims were later rushed by the Bureau of Fire Protection Tabuk City to the hospital.


The involved vehicles were taken by the police for temporary custody.
