Tabuk City revokes Travel Pass requirements for Kalinga Municipalities; EO 3-MO, 2021 amended

Tabuk City, Kalinga – In a recent Executive Order (EO) released today, January 18, 2020, signed by Mayor Darwin Estrañero, Tabuk revoked its earlier order requiring all residents of municipalities of Kalinga to present travel pass when entering the City.


In the recent EO, Travel Passes from individuals of municipalities within the Province of Kalinga upon entering the city through the Barangay Bantay checkpoint are no longer needed.


In the previous EO, section 3.b. stated “For persons coming from other municipalities within the province of Kalinga, the person must present a Valid ID and shall register in a logbook provided at the checkpoint.”


Information such as: name and age; address; place of origin; purpose/s and persons to be visited; date and time of arrival at the checkpoint; and duration of stay in Tabuk shall honestly be written at the log book for the purpose of contact tracing in case a positive case is reported.


Meantime, all returning residents and visitors coming from outside Kalinga are still required to present at the checkpoint their:

1. Negative Swab Result and/or Medical Certificate from LGU of origin

2. Travel Authority

3. Valid Identification Card

4. Write in a provided logbook their name and age; address; place of origin; purpose/s and persons to be visited; date and time of arrival at the checkpoint; and duration of stay in Tabuk.

Government Officials and Personnel and Private Corporations or Companies shall present a valid Travel Order specifying their purposes and the duration of their official travel.


All returning residents and incoming visitors are likewise subjected to a mandatory triaging at the City’s Temporary Treatment and Monitoring Facilities.
