Tanudan, Kalinga – In its continuous pursuit of further improving timely responses during emergencies and calamities, the Tanudan Municipal Local Government acquired two new rescue vehicles and one ambulance.

Currently, Tanudan has five ambulances – one of them, a Patient Transport Vehicle, received by the municipality from the Office of the President on July 9, 2025 at the Quirino Grandstand in Manila. There are also six rescue cars that can be used to aid response teams. Two of them were recently procured by the LGU - one arrived last month and the other came on July 21.

Mayor Jaedicke Rhoss Dagadag, in a statement, said that every life matters and that every second counts in times of emergencies, and thus it is important to have functioning ambulances and rescue vehicles ready to answer the call of the people.

“Masapul talaga iti maysa ili nga adda 24/7 nga nakasagana nga ambulansiya ken rescue vehicles nga naka-standby ta haan tayo ammu nu anya oras nga adda iti emergency or nu anya nga aldaw nga adda didigra. Ken maysa pay, diay response time la unay, diay iti maysa nga kaimportantean met lang. Isu nga dapat adda dagitoy nga luglugan tayo nga sisasagana nga mausar nu agresponde tayo,” he expressed.

The mayor added that they allotted a budget for these vehicles so that they can cater to anyone wherever they are, especially since there is a limited number of transportation options in Tanudan. Said vehicles do not only cater to iTanudans, but also to those needing help from neighboring towns and the city.
