Trainee raped twice at Teachers Camp, Baguio; Suspect a police instructor

Baguio City, Philippines – A 41-year-old police training instructor is now being pursued by authorities after being accused of raping a female trainee inside a training facility in Baguio City.


According to a police report obtained by local media outlets, the alleged sexual assault occurred twice earlier this year and was reported by the victim in April.


The first incident reportedly took place between 1:00 a.m. and 2:00 a.m. on January 20 inside the training facility at Teachers Camp.


The trainee alleged that she was raped by the suspect inside his barracks.

A second assault reportedly occurred on February 8, when the victim was again called to report to the suspect’s barracks.


The victim, whose identity was withheld by police to protect her privacy, reported the matter to authorities and formally filed a complaint on Monday, April 13.


The identity of the accused has also not been disclosed by police, but he was described as married and a native of Pangasinan.


As of this writing, authorities are searching for the suspect, and charges of rape are being prepared against him.
