Tubban urged qualified health workers to get immunized

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Governor Ferdinand Tubban is encouraging health workers in the province to be inoculated with COVID 19 vaccines for their protection, and their family as well.

In a press release from the Provincial Information Office, the governor, during the Provincial Inter Agency Task Force meeting on Wednesday, informed that around 196 health workers from the Kalinga Provincial Hospital and 10 from Kalinga Gabriel Mija Kim Medical Center were vaccinated with Sinovac during the initial roll out last week.

He said that Kalinga Provincial Hospital Chief Dr. Marilyn Duyan reported to him that no major side effects were observed among those who were vaccinated.

With this, he is appealing for the cooperation of other qualified health workers in the province to get vaccinated and take advantage of the available vaccines.

“Let us take advantage of this and trust the advice of our health experts. The CEO of St. Luke's Medical Center said that the best vaccine, is the available vaccine. Hopefully, we also get a share of Aztrazeneca where the senior health workers are prioritized,” he underscored.

“We owe our lives, our health and public safety to you frontliners, and the least that we could do now to give back is, encourage you to be vaccinated for your protection, for your families' protection. The province, and the whole world is in mercy of health workers," he added.

Meantime, Governor further expressed gratitude to the Provincial Health Office, Kalinga Provincial Hospital, all district hospitals, and frontliners as well as to the Department of Health for said endeavor.
