‘Uray na-suspende ak, adda ak latta nga makipagrigat ken dakayo’ – VM Dao-as to Bulanao Market group

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Vice Mayor Bernard Glenn Dao-as assured support to the Bulanao Public Market amidst suspension saying, “adda ak latta kanya yo taga market, adda ak latta met nga makipagrigat kanyayo ta maawatak met diay sitwasyon yu.”

During the Year-End program and General Assembly of the Bulanao Public Market Stall Owners, Vendors and Consumers Association this January 9, Dao-as reiterated his continuous support to the organization and guaranteed that he will be with them even when he takes another path.

Dao-as has been vocal in criticizing the present administration of Tabuk City and vowed to fight corruption by running as Mayor in the coming 2022 elections.

“Uray nu kasdiay nga nasuspende tayo … aginggana vice mayor tayo, adda ak latta kada kayo ken nu anyan tu pay nga kwa[path] ti turungen tayo ket adda ak latta kadwa yu, nangnangruna nga mangsuporta ken dakayo,” he conveyed.

He added that he disapproves of the plan of putting an XRC mall inside the Bulanao public market.

“Ammuk gamin diay plano dayta ipatakder da nga mall ket naibagak met siguro kanya yo idi napalpalabas diay haan nga nasayaat nga plano da,” he said.

Meanwhile, during the event, Dao-as explained that he was suspended due to the conversion of the lot which he bought when he was still the barangay captain of Appas and not due to corruption charges.

The corruption charges filed against him were earlier dismissed by the Ombudsman.

“Ginatang ko ken uncle Arthur, inpagabor ni uncle Arthur tatta ket siyak metten iti inkwa[inbaga] da kasla nga nangaramid idiay,” he said.

Dao-as added that they answered the subpoena when the lockdown was imposed in Northern Luzon due to the Covid-19, and thus the affidavit of Arthur acknowledging that he was the one who asked for the backfilling before Dao-as bought the land from him was not attached.

Nevertheless, Dao-as assured the constituents not to worry for he has already filed his motion for reconsideration at the Office of the Ombudsman with the affidavit of Arthur attached.

While serving his suspension over the lot conversion and while waiting for the decision for his motion for reconsideration, Dao-as turned over his seat to City Councilor Attorney Zorayda Wacnang last December 28.
