Baguio City, Philippines – A parked van crashed into Panagbenga stalls along Session Road after a 6-year-old accidentally released the handbrake on Wednesday evening, March 4, 2026.

Three people were reportedly injured in the incident.

According to police authorities, as reported by the Mountain Beacon, the van’s driver had parked along Fr. Carlu Street to unload items for his stall at the Session Road “Blood Market” while accompanied by his 6-year-old child.

Police said the father turned off the engine and engaged the handbrake before leaving his child inside the vehicle to offload merchandise. However, the child allegedly released the handbrake, causing the van to roll downhill and crash into the Panagbenga stalls. The van finally stopped when one of its tires hit the road gutter.

The three injured included a stall owner, a worker, and a customer. They were rushed to a nearby hospital and are now in stable condition. The 6-year-old child was unharmed.

Meanwhile, the father has already reached out to the victims.
