Victim of stabbing in Tabuk City identifies attacker

Tabuk City, Kalinga – One of the two teen vendors who were stabbed at the Dagupan Public Market in Tabuk City last month recognized and confirmed their attacker through a CCTV footage traced and extracted by the police.

The stabbing incident happened in the evening of October 15, 2022. Back then, the 15-year-old and 19-year-old siblings who were selling lumpia were sitting in front of their table when two individuals onboard a motorcycle stopped and robbed them.

It was said that the back rider got down from the motorcycle and grabbed the 15-year-old victim’s cellphone, pointing a knife to his neck.

The 15-year-old tried to fight off the suspect and got wounded in the hand. The 19-year-old brother tried to help, but he was stabbed in his abdomen.

In the follow-up investigation conducted by the Philippine National Police Tabuk City, they were able to trace the suspects through CCTV footage. The police investigators likewise showed the footage to one of the victims and he positively recognized the back rider as their attacker.

An investigation of the case is still in progress.

In a Facebook post, the PNP Tabuk showed the image of the alleged attackers and asked those who have any information about the suspects to contact them through their Facebook or their hotline, 09089000900.
