Following the turnover ceremony of the Tinglayan LGU’s lot donation to the BJMP on March 4, Malasi acknowledged that strong partnerships and collaborative efforts among LGUs, government offices, and agencies ultimately benefit the public they serve.

“Nu agsisinnuporta tayo, mas ag-benefit dagiti constituents nga pagserbian tayo. Kas kuma daytoy lot donation iti LGU Tinglayan nga iti isim-simbolo na ket iti agtultuloy nga suporta tayo iti BJMP,” he said in an interview.

He added that the BJMP’s mandate is to ensure the humane safekeeping and development of PDLs by facilitating their rehabilitation and reintegration into the community through programs covering livelihood, education, health, and more.

Malasi emphasized that the jail facility, once constructed, will serve a purpose beyond incarceration. It will function as a facility that ensures the human safekeeping and development of PDLs.

Meanwhile, the Sangguniang Bayan of Tinglayan, headed by Malasi, passed Resolution No. 17, Series of 2026, officially recognizing BJMP Cordillera Regional Director Delvic Oreiro as a native son of Tinglayan.
