Tabuk City, Kalinga – Joining the world in celebrating Teacher’s Day this October 5, 2021, Governor Ferdinand Tubban gave recognition to the heroism, contribution and significance of teachers and educators in the province and in the country as well.

Tubban in his message honored the teachers for their great love and sacrifice saying “we are nobody and the province is not what it is without them.”

Despite the current set-up of education, the governor expressed confidence in the teachers who have not allowed the quality of education to drop, neither did they allow their own level of performance dive.

“There might be some who have been taken by the waves of frustrations and desperation because of the misdeeds of others and promises which were later forgotten or words written in the sand. But there are more, whose silent tears and greying hair have not abandoned the noblest profession,” Tubban said.

Teachers, he stressed, have signed up to live a life of sacrifice, which some failed to realize and live up to, even with the fact that there is no money in teaching.

Despite the difficulty and lack of finances for luxury and enjoyment, teachers still afford to give their students’ need and never lack love.

“Teaching, as they say, is love in its purest form. That is why teachers are the so called humans with the golden heart,” Tubban underscored.

The governor then encouraged teachers to ‘keep well and keep teaching with all their might.’

“To all the teachers, I salute you and honor you for your great love and sacrifice that never change, even when you are in your most down moments. God bless you all, matatago kayo losan,” Tubban concluded.
