With 99.1% rating: IFSU ROTC unit reclaims overall champion title in 2026 RAATI

Lamut, Ifugao – Demonstrating strong discipline and precision, the Ifugao State University (IFSU) Reserve Officers’ Training Corps (ROTC) reclaimed the overall championship title in the 2026 Regional Annual Administrative and Tactical Inspection (RAATI), earning an impressive 99.1% rating during the April 17 evaluation at the IFSU campus in Lamut. The victory marks its return to the top of the Cordillera ROTC competition for the first time since 2023.

The RAATI is an annual assessment of ROTC units that measures administrative efficiency, discipline, organization, and tactical proficiency in military training.

IFSU’s 99.061% score is the highest the university has achieved in its participation in the inspection, surpassing its 97.2% rating in 2025. The university also outperformed the defending champion, Mountain Province State University (MPSU), which recorded a 98.9% score.

The IFSU ROTC unit topped the rankings, followed by MPSU with 98.9% and Benguet State University (BSU) in third place with 98.7%. Kalinga State University placed fourth with 98.3%, while Abra State Institute of Science and Technology posted 97.2%, completing the list of participating institutions in the regional inspection.

The latest victory marks IFSU’s return to the peak of the RAATI competition, reinforcing its standing as one of the top-performing ROTC units in the Cordillera region.

In a Facebook post, the university credited the achievement to the ROTC unit’s dedication and commitment to excellence, service, and integrity, highlighting the cadets’ discipline and teamwork, which contributed to what it described as a world-class performance.

“IFSU has officially regained its title as the overall champion. Hats off to our ROTC unit for their world-class performance! Today, we celebrate the return of the championship title to IFSU, fueled by the core values of excellence, service, and integrity,” the post read.
