Santa Marcela, Apayao – The Local Civil Registry Office (LCRO) of Santa Marcela LGU, in partnership with the Philippine Statistics Authority-Apayao Provincial Office, on Feb. 26, handed over the free copies of livebirth in security paper to the 10 registrants of the Birth Registration Assistance Project (BRAP) at the EKB clubhouse.

OIC-MCR Joe Z. Aguinaldo together with the PSA led by CSS Geoffrey Calimuhayan facilitated the said distribution, following the successful processing of the owners’ delayed registration.

There were 40 recipients of the said document, nevertheless, only 10 of them were present to claim their own copies.

Supervising Administrative Officer Oscar Ramos, on behalf of Mayor Evelyn Martinez, congratulated the beneficiaries, saying, ‘nagasat kayu ta indanun mismo ti PSA dagiti napateg a dokumento nga kasapulan yu.’ 'Sapay kuma ta agtultuloy iti partnership iti LGU ken iti PSA,' he added.

The BRAP is one of the flagship services of the PSA that aims to help members from marginalized sectors in securing their birth registration and assist them in registering to the Philippine Identification System (PhilSys), free of charge. This is done in coordination with LCROs.
