2 Kalinga OFW beauties in Israel bag awards in Miss Igorot Migrant Workers 2022

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Two overseas Filipino workers who represented Kalinga province in Miss AIMWI (Association of Igorot Migrant Workers in Israel) 2022 won special and minor awards with corresponding cash incentives.

Ammoya of Mangali, Tanudan

Primrose Ammoya, 29, from Poblacion Mangali, Tanudan bagged Ms. Congeniality, Ms. Photogenic, and Ms. Mary Kay with cash incentives of 300 Israeli New Shekel (NIS) or around P5,100 and Mary Kay products.

Ammoya, in an interview, said that though she was not able to bring home the crown, she is beyond grateful for the experience.

Through participating in said search, she relayed that she was able to gain friends she will forever treasure.

“I learned many things in this pageant like how to manage time, talk and ask people for help and opinions which is not usually my doing, and lastly sportsmanship. And I say that ‘the Beauty of a woman is not from the outside appearance but in her inner soul,’” the Kalinga beauty added.

She thanked her friends, family, and relatives for supporting her. Also, she expressed gratitude to all the sponsors, the organizers, AIMWI officers and Kalinga Chapter officers.

“And above all, I thank the Lord for all the blessings that He showered me and other contestants to make this pageant happen,” Ammoya concluded.

Obar of Balinciagao Norte, Pasil

Meanwhile, Aimee Karell Obar, 27, from Balinciagao Norte, Pasil won Best in Swimsuit, Best in Gown, and Miss Social Media with 500 NIS, equivalent to around P8,500.

Among her takeaways in joining the pageant was accepting failures and learning from the lessons. This, she said, is valuable in her life.

“Great success is the one that comes with the most difficult journey. One of my motto is: “It is not worth it unless it is worth working for.” Yes, you might fail, but you have a choice, either be depressed or use your failure to fuel your motivation to work harder,” she stressed.

She extended her appreciation to her family, friends and relatives for their love and support along her Miss AIMWI journey.

Winners of the search

During the coronation night held on Saturday, August 20 at Beit Dani Auditorium in Tel Aviv, Israel, Jonalyn Dela Cruz from Abra was crowned the Miss AIMWI 2022; Capnan Cattel from Mt. Province as the 1st Runner Up; and Ms. Vilma Anto from Benguet as 2nd Runner Up.
