DICT-CAR and Kalinga LGU to provide free online training on Fundamentals of Programming

Tabuk City, Kalinga – To help those who are interested but could not afford to pay for their training to enhance their programming skills, the Provincial Local Government Unit of Kalinga partnered with the Department of Information Communication and Technology – Cordillera and will be providing free online training on Fundamentals of Programming.


This latest free training is one of the programs that the Kalinga LGU has been implementing with the full support of Governor Ferdinand B. Tubban.


“The DICT is the PLGU's partner for technological communications and we have been in constant communication and coordination with them about any and all possible programs that we can provide to benefit our kailyans,” Executive Assistant Elizabeth Balais II earlier stated.


The provincial government, in a press release, informs that the free five-day training will start from 8:00 to 12:00 noon on November 22 to 26, 2021.

According to the Provincial Governor’s Office-Information Services, participants will be taught how to create cool animations and fun games using the Scratch programming language.


Categories and uses of Scratch blocks in creating animations and games will likewise be discussed during the free online training.


Additionally, the basic structure of Scratch programs and its inherent characteristics of computer programming will be tackled.
