Patients interested in the free procedures should coordinate with KPH regarding screening and eligibility requirements.

TABUK CITY, Kalinga — Patients needing digestive tract examinations can avail themselves of free endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures at the Kalinga Provincial Hospital (KPH) on October 23, 2026, through a medical mission by volunteer doctors from Centuria Medical Makati.

The mission aims to help patients undergo diagnostic procedures that can detect digestive tract conditions, including ulcers, bleeding, inflammation, and abnormal growths.

KPH will assist the visiting medical team, which will bring its own equipment for the procedures.

Hospital OIC-Chief Dr. Rey Aranca earlier said beneficiaries would be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.

As part of the preparations, KPH conducted cardiopulmonary clearance for the first batch of patients who expressed interest in availing themselves of the free services earlier this month.

Final screening of patients is scheduled for October 22, a day before the medical mission.

Endoscopy and colonoscopy allow doctors to examine the digestive tract and, when necessary, obtain tissue samples or remove polyps to help diagnose certain conditions.

Patients interested in the free procedures should coordinate with KPH regarding screening and eligibility requirements.
