Tabuk City, Kalinga – With only four days before the 74,000 voters in Tabuk City cast their ballots, Councilor-aspirant Atty. Errol Comafay once again reminded the public he is still in the race and that votes for him on Monday will be counted.

The lawyer and anti-corruption crusader had since appealed and clarified he is from the city and there was no reason for him to be disqualified from the race, saying the Supreme Court will have the final say not those speculations of others.

Attending the final testing of the Automated Counting Machine where 10 individuals tried to cast their votes on May 7, Comafay shared that the seven votes shaded for him were included in the election return.

“Dayta ti paneknek nga saan nga agpayso ti ibagbaga da nga saan nga mabilang ti botos para kanyak,” he asserted.

While his second attempt to enter the Sangguniang Panlungsod – his first was in 2022, where he was number 11– was filled with claims and rumors made to discredit him, Comafay listed down the facts, saying, “Mabilang dagiti butos para kanyak; Nu adu mangibutos kanyak ket mangabak nak; Nu mangabak nak ket ma-proclaim nak; Nu madi ti Comelec nga i-proclaim nak ket Supreme Court ti mangi-proclaim kanyak.”

Comafay emphasized that it should be the Tabuk City citizens who will choose their next set of leaders, not the political candidates who try to prearrange the people who will be occupying public seats.

“Isu nga nu kayat nak nga agsirbi a kas Konsehal yo ket ibutos nak. Dapat botantes ti agpili kadagiti agturay.  Saan nga dagiti politiko ti agtutulag nu sino ti agturay.  Saan tayo koma itulok nga i-Tabuk nga maikkat ti karebbengan ti botantes nga agpili ti kayat da nga agturay,” he stressed.
