‘Nabayag a tagtagainep iti taga Tanudan’

The Tanudan Municipal Sub-office in Se-et, Mabaca being utilized as office of the LGU is actually an evacuation center built in 2016.

Before they occupied the sub-office, the past administration had been using the Rural Health Unit building as their office since 2010.

It was only in 2015 that the construction of the Tanudan Municipal Hall in Sitio Banagao, Barangay Poblacion started. However, due to limited budget, the LGU, after series of meetings and consultations, decided to borrow P50 million from DBP.

“Dagitoy a proyekto ket pagsayaatan amin iti ili a Tanudan. Nag-loan tayo tapnu malpas iti kabiitan a panawen ken tapnu mausar nga insigida daytoy munisipyo tayo. Nabayag a tagtagainep tayo dagita ken tatta lang a malpas dagiti inrugi dagiti imuna a papangat ti Tanudan, ta bassit lang iti IRA tayo,” Dagadag expressed.

The Mayor added that once the Tanudan Municipal Hall is finished, the municipal employees will no longer have to conduct their regular flag raising ceremony along the national road.

It can be remembered that through Resolution No. 2020-205 on July 20, 2020, Mayor Dagadag was granted authority by the Sangguniang Bayan, headed by Vice Mayor Joseph Cosidon, to negotiate on behalf of LGU Tanudan with DBP relative to the acquisition of the P50 million loan.

Further, the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan Kalinga, led by Vice-Governor Dave Odiem approved the Ordinance Confirming and Ratifying the approved terms and conditions of the loan during their joint session with SB Tanudan on August 3, 2021.
