MHO Pasil appeals to relatives of the elderly to convince them to get vaccinated

Pasil, Kalinga – The Municipal Health Office (MHO), under the leadership of Dr. Aldrin Siwao, is appealing to relatives of senior citizens who are not yet vaccinated against COVID-19 to help convince their elders and assist them to have their vaccination.


Pasil MHO disclosed on a Facebook post that only 59.4% of the listed senior citizens had been inoculated and that around 469 of the said sector are not yet immunized from COVID as of August 12, 2021.


Of the 469 unvaccinated senior citizens, 117 are residing in Balatoc, 105 in Cagaluan, 67 in Balinciagao Norte, 37 in Dangtalan, 25 in Balinciagao Sur, 23 in Magsilay, 20 in Dalupa, 17 in Bagtayan, 17 in Colayo, 14 in Pugong, 10 in Ableg, 8 in Guina-ang, 5 in Galdang, and 4 in Malucsad.


“Dumadawatak man ti tulong taku on a-annak ja, kabagyan jan yanan a-amma, i-inna taku un jaan pay lang mampabakuna ta allukuyon taku koma jija,” Dr. Siwao stated in said post.


The office appealed for relatives to assist their senior citizens in going to the Rural Health Unit (RHU) where they can be vaccinated from 8 am up to 4 pm daily.


“Pagtitinulungan tayo mang-awis pay kadagitoy haan pay nabakunaan tapnu umay da kuma agpabakuna ditoy RHU tayo,” the officer added.


The MHO assured all staff is already vaccinated, and that it is “safe and effective.”

Mayor Alfredo Malannag Jr. also encouraged said priority sector to cooperate in the vaccination drive so they will be protected against the deadly virus.
