Isabela, Philippines – In spite of the dismal passing rate of the October 2023 Veterinarians Licensure Examination(VLE), a newly licensed veterinarian from Isabela managed to pass and secure a spot in the list of top-performing examinees.

Numbers show that the October 2023 VLE could be one of the toughest board exams administered in the country.

Results released by the Professional Regulation Commission on Oct. 17 revealed that only 9.34% of the examinees passed the test administered on Oct. 11 – 13. This passing rate is equivalent to 92 out of the 985 takers.

One of these 92 doctor of veterinary medicine graduates who made it was Katherine Dion Nera of the Isabela State University – Echague Campus.

Nera didn’t just make it the cut as she’s also among the top 10 performing examinees in the October 2023 VLE, securing the 4th highest spot after obtaining an 82.86% rating.

Dr. Nera finished her degree in veterinary medicine in 2022.

Her alma mater, Isabela State University through a Facebook post commended her and her fellow passers for their exemplary performance in the board exam.
