Panagbenga Festival in February 2021 “Tuloy Parin”

Baguio City, Philippines – Amidst the pandemic, Mayor Benjamin Magalong assured the Panagbenga festival shall be celebrated in February this year but with necessary adjustments on strict implementation of health protocols to ascertain safety of people.


“Basically we downgraded yung mga activities, pero tuloy parin… tuloy parin ang opening ng Panagbenga… pero significantly subdue yung mga activities,” said Magalong.


Magalong mentioned that the Board of Trustees of the Baguio Flower Festival Foundation Inc. have earlier submitted the concept of the Panagbenga in 2021.



While there shall be other activities to be excluded, some of those that people can expect to watch and participate in are the landscaping exhibition and competition and Session Road in Bloom. Nevertheless, the most crowd drawing parts of the Panagbenga which are the Grand Street Parade and Float Parade are cancelled.


Vendors and stalls shall likewise be limited in order to implement proper social distancing and avoid overcrowding.

Meantime, during his statement regarding the Covid-19 situation and measures being undertaken by Baguio City, Magalong reiterated the need for the cooperation of the citizenry as well as other adjacent local government units in order to control the Covid-19 virus and prevent transmission.
