Ifugao, Philippines – Project Development Officer Genevieve B. Camhit of the Schools Division of Ifugao emerged as the country’s Most Outstanding Youth Formation Coordinator in Medium Category of Gawad Siklab 2021.
Gawad Siklab 2021 is a program of the Department of Education (DepEd) through the Bureau of Learners Support Services - Youth Formation Division (BLSS-YFD), launched on March 8, 2021, as part of the nation-building, aiming to recognize the accomplishments and significant contributions of the learners, teachers, administrators, and other stakeholders in youth formation.
The applicants were screened from the division to the regional level before reaching the National Central Office.
After a thorough screening, the Youth Formation Division (YFD) awarded the winners through its Facebook page on October 15, 2021.
Out of three finalists, Camhit, who represented the Schools Division of Ifugao and Cordillera Administrative Region, was proclaimed the Most Outstanding Youth Formation Coordinator-Medium.
In her message, Camhit thanked everyone who supported or helped her on her way up.
“Ang tagumpay na ito ay hindi lang po akin kundi tagumpay din po ito ng SDO Ifugao at ang rehiyon ng Cordillera,” the project officer said.
Camhit likewise congratulated all National Gawad Siklab Awardees and encouraged other Youth Formation Coordinators to be inspired by the success of their fellow teachers.
“Patuloy po tayong magtulungan para sa mga bata dahil sabi nga po ng ating herong si Rizal, Ang Kabataan ang Pag-asa ng Bayan,” she underscored.
The project coordinator extended appreciation to YFD for their efforts.
“Sa buong YFD, saludo po ako sa inyo. Maraming salamat po sa lahat ng effort para maramdaman po naming sa field na ang YFD ay mahalaga para sa paghubog ng ating mga kabataan at sa patuloy niyong pananaliksik para sa ating serbisyo. Mabuhay ang Kabataan, Mabuhay ang Youth Formation Division,” Camhit concluded.
