Recovered stolen motorcycle led to arrest of top 8 most wanted in Baguio

Baguio City, Philippines - A recovered stolen motorcycle has led to the arrest of Baguio City’s Most Wanted Individual on Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2023.


The suspect, whose name was kept, is a 31-year-old male and a resident of Bakakeng Central, Baguio City.

According to the police report, as cited by the Baguio City Public Information Office, the reported missing motorcycle was bought and pawned in San Fernando, La Union, which was positively identified by the owner.


Upon recovering the motorcycle, authorities traced the location of the suspect, who was later identified by the police as BCPO-Abanao Police Station's Top 1 Most Wanted Person for the fourth quarter of 2023 and the Top 8 Most Wanted Individual in Baguio City.


Through the warrant of arrest issued by the Regional Trial Court First Judicial Region, the accused has been arrested on said day.


He is now in police custody for proper disposition and will be facing charges for violating the New Anti-Carnapping Act of 2016.
