Stolen car in Tuguegarao City recovered in Mallig, Isabela



Isabela, Philippines – A car stolen from a businessman in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan was recovered by authorities in Mallig, Isabela over the weekend.


At around 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 19, three suspects forcibly entered the house of Jessie and Mildred Dela Cruz at Raja Sulayman, San Gabriel, Tuguegarao City.


The armed suspects, according to the Information Office of Police Regional Office 2, took the victims’ jewelry, five touchscreen cell phones, and an undetermined amount of money. Due to their fear, the victims were forced to also hand over their car keys.

Authorities immediately alerted personnel to secure all areas in the city that might serve as the robber’s exit points.


On Sunday morning, personnel of the Philippine National Police – Mallig recovered the abandoned Toyota Fortuner along Mallig - Delfin Albano Road, Barangay Manano, Mallig, Isabela.


Based on the Official Receipt (OR) and Certificate of Registration (CR), the police confirmed that the Dela Cruz family owns the car.


The key, said PNP Isabela, was left by the suspects in the car’s ignition.


Authorities are still searching for the three suspects as of press time.
