Youth Organization donation drive benefits Kalinga learners

Tabuk City, Kalinga―With its main goal to reach and impact as many communities of children and schools as it could, Hope Alight, a youth-based organization, organized a Christmas donation drive providing 110 learners in Kalinga with gift packs.


Paulyn Ceralde of Hope Alight shared in an interview that the group is committed to principles of service, compassion, and humanitarianism. And thus, their organization take it to heart to work even in their own little ways, partnering with other organizations, to furnish kids’ their basic needs.


“We hope that by doing these little things, we set a good example for them to follow when it is their time to give back to communities. We believe that the best Christmas gift we can give, despite the unthinkable circumstances of this time, is hope,” she expressd.


Said donation drive started on December 1 which includes monetary and in-kind donations, school supplies, ready to wear clothes, and toys collected from private individuals and from Sangguniang Kabataan Bulanao Centro.

The Christmas donation drive was able to benefit 60 learners (kinder-grade 6) in Bulanao East Annex Greenhills Primary School and 50 learners in Camp Conrado M. Balweg Elementary School.


Earlier, Hope Alight turned over 540 boxes of pencils to seven elementary schools in Tabuk City on November 28 as aid in the growing economic struggle of parents due to the pandemic.


Beneficiaries were Camp Conrado M Balweg, Bullaguian , Lanna, Magabbangon, Balong, Bulanao West, and Tulgao Elementary School.
