2 dead in Lal-lo, Cagayan shooting incident; killer shot self after

Lal-lo, Cagayan - Three people were found dead in a shooting incident in Barangay Centro, Lal-lo, Cagayan, on Saturday afternoon, May 23, 2025. 

Based on the report of the Cagayan Public Information Office this May 27, those individuals who were discovered lifeless included the two victims and the gunman. 

Police identified the victims as Anie, 43, and Roy, 44. The man behind the killing of the two was Andy, 67. 

The initial investigation revealed that some residents of said barangay first heard a series of gunshots inside Andy’s house, where Anie and Rot were also inside. 

When police were notified by the residents, they quickly proceeded to the crime scene. There, they were not able to enter the house immediately because Andy was still holding a gun. With that, they tried to convince him to drop his gun and surrender. 

Minutes later, a gunshot was heard again, prompting the police to enter the house. Upon entering, they saw Andy dead, possibly having shot himself. 

The lifeless bodies of Anie and Roy were also found inside the house. 

As of this writing, the motive behind the crime is still unknown, and further investigation is ongoing.
