PINUKPUK, Kalinga – Mayor Jimmy B. Dasayon called on the people of Pinukpuk to remain united as the municipality continues its journey toward progress, emphasizing that every milestone achieved over the past 63 years has been made possible through collective effort.

Delivering his message during Pinukpuk's 63rd Founding Anniversary celebration at the Municipal Gymnasium in Barangay Taga on June 25, Dasayon said the municipality's greatest strength has always been the unity of its people, which has enabled the community to overcome challenges and achieve lasting development.

“This celebration reminds us where we came from, what we have achieved together, and what we are going to build for generations yet to come. While challenges remain, our achievements remind us that when we work together, no challenge is beyond us,” stated Dasayon.

The mayor said the anniversary is more than a yearly celebration—it is an opportunity for every iPinukpuk to reflect on the municipality's journey, celebrate its accomplishments, and renew its commitment to building a better future.

He also paid tribute to the past leaders and generations of residents whose dedication and sacrifices laid the foundation for the municipality's continued growth.

“...we gathered not only to commemorate another milestone and history but also to honor the wonderful journey of our municipality and the people who made it possible. What was once a young municipality has grown into a thriving and dynamic community. Our roads, schools, public facilities, agricultural advances, and expanding opportunities stand as visible symbols of the hard work and determination of generations of Pinukpuk,” he added.

Reaffirming his commitment to serve the municipality, Dasayon said his administration will continue to pursue programs that improve public services, strengthen agriculture, develop infrastructure, and create greater opportunities for every iPinukpuk.

The mayor likewise underscored the importance of preserving Pinukpuk's cultural heritage, protecting the environment, strengthening communities, and pursuing inclusive and sustainable development alongside economic progress.

“Let us continue to preserve our rich cultural heritage, protect our environment, strengthen our communities, and strive for inclusive and sustainable development. As your municipal mayor, I reaffirm my commitment to transparent and responsive governance, improving public services, strengthening agricultural development, enhancing infrastructure, and creating programs that create great opportunities for every Pinukpuk. Together, let us build a municipality that is not only progressive and prosperous but also compassionate, resilient, and united. May the Almighty continue to bless the Municipality of Pinukpuk and all its people,” he concluded.

Pinukpuk became a regular municipality on June 25, 1963, through Executive Order No. 42 issued by then-President Diosdado Macapagal, paving the way for self-governance and decades of development.

Today, the first-class municipality is composed of 23 barangays and has the second-largest population in Kalinga. Its 63rd Founding Anniversary served not only as a celebration of its history and achievements but also as a renewed call for unity as the municipality continues to pursue sustainable and inclusive progress.
