2025 KALINGA PROV’L MEET to be held on Nov. 25-29; 2,899 delegates expected to participate

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Preparations are now in full swing for the upcoming 2025 Provincial Sports Meet scheduled on November 25-29, with more than 2,800 delegates expected to participate.

In an interview with GURU Press Cordillera, Provincial Local Youth Development Officer Felix D. Daladag shared that they have already begun phase two of their preparation. This includes the playing venues and budget.

“We have already started with the preparations for the upcoming Provincial Sports Meet. We had a meeting with the Mayor of Pinukpuk that was attended by the Governor on September 30. We discuss some important matters, including the ground preparations and budget,” said Daladag.

According to Daladag, the approved budget for the event is P2.7 million, which will be allocated to sports equipment, technical officials' fees, meals, and snacks.

“Diay approved a budget of 2.7 million, mai - allocate kin dagiyay usaren ti technical officials, sports equipment dagituy athletes tayo, and meals and snacks da,” Daladag added.

Those who win in their respective sports will represent the province in the 2026 Cordillera Administrative Region Athletic Association Meet (CARAA) in Abra.

To recall, the Municipality of Rizal won first place during the Provincial Meet in January this year, bringing home 74 gold medals.
