3 Universities in CAR are among top 100 best in the Philippines

Baguio City, Philippines – Three higher education institutions in the Cordillera have made it in the list of 100 exemplary universities in the country.

Recently, EduRank, an independent metric-based ranking website, named University of the Philippines Baguio, Benguet State University, and Saint Louis University as among the top 100 Best Universities in the Philippines.

EduRank assesses the overall ranking of 14,131 universities from 183 countries in the world based on three indicators which include research performance (45%); non-academic prominence (45%);  and alumni score (10%).

In its February 29, 2024 update, the metric-based ranking site announced that UP Baguio is number 1 among schools in Baguio; number 28 in the Philippines; 2,460 of 5,830 higher institutions in Asia; and number 6,494 in the world.

BSU came number 41 in the overall national ranking, 2,727 in Asia, and 7,023 in the World.

Further, Saint Louis University landed at no. 83 nationwide, 3,587 in Asia, and 9,099 in the world.

This year’s best university in the country, as per EduRank, is the University of the Philippines Diliman.
