Baguio City, Philippines – A 34-year-old tenant in Fairview, Baguio City raised concerns among his neighbors when he was not seen for two days, prompting his landlord and barangay officials to open his place where they found him dead with hack wounds on March 8.

Kagawad Jeffrey Abance, in his interview with Regional News Group, shared that the neighbors became concerned about the victim when he was not seen for two days and the lights and sound system inside his place were never turned off within those days.

This led them to notify the apartment owner who later coordinated with the barangay officials for their assistance to check on the victim. It was around 2:00 p.m. on March 8 when they entered the apartment without the victim greeting them.

They searched the place, noticing a pile of clothes on the hall heading towards a room, before the kagawad noticed the victim lying lifeless on the floor. They described that the 34-year-old had a stab wound on his side and hack wounds on his head and that the sharp object used to attack the victim was left at his apartment.

Meantime, the neighbors shared it was on March 5 when they saw him with a male visitor. They noted that the visitor likewise asked the neighbors about the way to the main road.

Authorities are still investigating the incident to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the tenant’s death and his possible killer.
