Tabuk City, Kalinga - Fifty new scholarship slots for residents who are interested in acquiring skills in construction, particularly tile setting and masonry, are available in Kalinga.

The scholarship is offered under the Skills Training for Employment Program through Community-based Organizations (STEPCO) of the provincial Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA-Kalinga).

Said program aims to promote employment, particularly in entrepreneurship, self-employment, and service-oriented activities.

TESDA Provincial Director Proserphina Pacyado announced during the Kalinga provincial government flag-raising ceremony on June 9 that 25 slots each for Tile Setting NC II and Masonry NC II free training are available.

As cited in the TESDA scholarship guidelines, selected scholars will receive an allowance based on their actual daily attendance, free certification, and starter tool kits upon completion of their chosen course, among other benefits.

Only those at least 18 years old are allowed to apply. Applicants will need to submit the required documents to the TESDA provincial office, such as a birth certificate, a valid ID, and proof of residency.

Interested individuals may visit the TESDA Kalinga Provincial Office located in Purok 6, Bulanao, Tabuk City, for more information on how to apply for the scholarships and other courses being offered by the agency.
