54 iKalinga cops among over 10,000 police officers promoted this December

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Fifty-four police officers from Kalinga were among more than 10,000 personnel nationwide who were promoted during the Philippine National Police’s (PNP) simultaneous oath-taking, rank-donning, and pinning ceremony held during the flag ceremony conducted by the Special Action Force at the HSAF Gymnasium, Fort Sto. Domingo, Sta. Rosa City, Laguna, on December 15, 2025.


According to the PNP, a total of 10,297 personnel were promoted, including 474 police commissioned officers (PCOs) and 1,823 non-commissioned officers (PNCOs) to higher ranks. Of this number, 553 are from the Cordillera provinces, including Kalinga, Abra, Mountain Province, Ifugao, and Apayao.

The regional ceremony was held at Camp Major Bado Dangwa in La Trinidad, Benguet, where 12 PCOs and 516 PNCOs under PRO Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR) were promoted, including one PCO and 24 PNCOs from the Regional Support Units.


Meanwhile, the local ceremony for the 54 iKalinga officers was held at the Kalinga Police Provincial Office grounds at Camp Capt. Juan M. Duyan in Bulanao, led by KPPO OIC Police Colonel Gilbert A. Fati-ig, in recognition of their merit, professionalism, and dedicated public service.


The oath-taking was administered virtually via Zoom by PBGEN Ericson D. Dilag, Regional Director of Police Regional Office Cordillera Administrative Region (PRO CAR), who commended the newly promoted officers and emphasized that their new ranks carry greater responsibility and accountability to the communities they serve.


The promotions marked a significant milestone in the careers of the iKalinga police personnel and highlighted their continued contribution to public service and peacekeeping efforts.
