60 Cordillera municipalities recorded zero crimes in 2nd week of October

La Trinidad, Benguet - As a result of the intensified police visibility in the region, no crime incidents were recorded in 60 municipalities in Cordillera from Oct. 08 - 14, 2023.


The Police Regional Office - Cordillera Regional Investigation and Detective Management Division (RIDMD) reported this on Monday, Oct. 16.


These include the 23 towns of Abra; 9 in Benguet; Kalinga, 6; Ifugao,8; Mt. Province, 8; and 6 municipalities in Apayao.

Naguilian Police Station and Legarda Police Station in Baguio City likewise documented zero crime out of its 10 police headquarters.


Meantime, a total of 46 most wanted personalities in the region were also arrested in the same period, as shown in the data of RIDMD.


PRO - Cordillera on their Facebook page said the main contributory factor to this is the continued effort of police against wanted individuals.


Based on the data, the province of Benguet listed the highest arrests with 19, followed by Baguio City with 13; 5 each in Ifugao and Kalinga; Mt. Province, 2; Abra and Apayao, 1.


Four of those arrested were listed as provincial wanted individuals, 1 at the municipal level, and 1 at the station Level.
