According to a report from the Kabayan Municipal Information Office, the landslide struck the victim’s house in Sitio Tinaleb, Barangay Ballay, at around 3:00 a.m. that day, while she was sleeping amid the onslaught of Typhoon Uwan.

The report stated that a concerned resident notified authorities at around 3:15 a.m., but the victim’s body was recovered only at around 7:30 a.m. due to impassable road conditions.
