Pasil, Kalinga – “Lives can be saved with this newly blessed and well-equipped ambulance,” captioned Pasil Mayor Alfredo “Chao-ig” Malannag Jr. in his social media post as he announced the provision of a brand new ambulance for Barangay Balatoc.
The ambulance, the mayor said, was requested by Balatoc residents and officials to FCF Minerals Corporation during the latter’s visit to the village last month to express their interest to invest.
FCF Minerals is a mining company ‘engaged in the exploration, development, and commercial operation of mineral claims.’
Realizing the importance of said request to the communities, the company provided the health service.
On Monday, December 05, the ambulance was blessed by Pastor Cesar Erice and was subsequently turned over by the mayor accompanied by the Sangguniang Bayan Members to Barangay Health Worker of Balatoc, Edna Marie R. Palugao.
“This unit will ensure efficient transport of those injured, sick, or those in emergency situations to the infirmary or hospital where they can get their immediate treatment. Thank you, FCF Minerals!” said Mayor Malannag in his appreciation post.
In March last year, the municipality acquired a Patient Transport Vehicle from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office through the project proposal crafted by the staff of the Rural Health Unit.
