Isabela, Philippines – Two tanods were hurt after they were allegedly attacked by a barangay kagawad in Manaoag, Quirino, Isabela recently.

The hacking was caused by an argument that transpired among the three, Quirino Chief of Police, PMaj. Ferdinand Bautista revealed as cited by the iFM Cauayan on Oct. 17.

According to Bautista, the suspect hidden under the name ‘Rigor’, 42, prohibited the two tanods, Buenaventura Viernes and Roberto Cabacungan, from patrolling around the barangay.

This resulted in an argument that got out of hand, causing Viernes to allegedly hit Rigor with a wood.

In retaliation, Rigor allegedly attacked the two tanods with a bolo and hacked them on different parts of their body.

The victims who were brought to the hospital sustained wounds on their head, arms, and other parts of their body.

Rigor was said to have left the crime scene after the incident, but later surrendered himself to his fellow kagawad. He will be facing a Double Frustrated Homicide case.
