Board member-elect Lammawin plans to craft ordinances to develop tourism landscapes in Kalinga

Tanudan, Kalinga – Board Member-elect Camilo Lammawin eyes to head the Committee on Tourism, planning to craft ordinances that would benefit the rich tourism landscape of Tanudan and other places in Kalinga.

 

On June 24, Lammawin, who is set to take office on June 30 as one of the members of the Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Kalinga, graced the 10th Kape Festival of the town as one of the Guests of Honor where he shared his vision for a more progressive Tanudan.

 

In his message, the board member-elect bared his plans to lead the tourism committee and push an ordinance promoting Tanudan’s rich agricultural, cultural, and environmental tourism, seeing Tanudan’s potential as the next city of Kalinga.

 

“Haan pay met nga nakatugaw but I’m also planning to head the chairmanship iti turismo, iti committee ti tourism. Ket daytoy plano tayo tatta ket mangaramid tayo man iti ordinansa iti ACE Tourism. Not only in coffee that Tanudan will prosper, la ketdi ta we will maintain the unity and cohesiveness of our people to move and support the programs of the government. I foresee Tanudan will become the next city of the province,” he visualized.

 

Expressing his thoughts on Tanudan’s great potentials especially on coffee production, Lammawin highlighted in his speech the health benefits of brewed coffee which include cognitive improvement, antioxidant richness, heart health, and weight loss, tying it to the town’s festivities.

 

Meanwhile, the board member-elect proudly spoke of his roots in Tanudan and shared that he named their Calagdao farm 'Ayuman' to honor his heritage. He said the name serves as a legacy - a lasting symbol of identity and continuity for future generations.
