Drug supplier busted in Baguio City; P.4M shabu seized

Baguio City, Philippines –50 grams of suspected shabu worth P400,000 was seized from a drug supplier when he got arrested in a buy bust operation this January 20,2021.

PDEA Cordillera in their report said that suspect Junnel Soriano was apprehended by the operatives through a buy-bust operation in Barangay Santo Tomas Proper, Baguio City. The operation was done by the PDEA CAR’s newly created Land Transportation Interdiction Unit assisted by its Baguio and Benguet Office and the Baguio City Police Station 10.

“The arrest came as PDEA CAR and PNP PROCOR unified its list of drug personalities affecting the Cordillera Region,” the report reads.

In his statement, PDEA CAR Director Gil Castro said, “this endeavor realigns, refocuses and recalibrates the anti-drug efforts of law enforcers with focus on accountability for the high value targets and high impact operation with the end goal of Barangay Drug Clearing mandate.”

Meanwhile, in a separate report, the Philippine National Police – Cordillera in their intensified campaign against illegal drugs eradicated around 19.2 million pesos worth of Marijuana plants and arrested 6 drug personalities in Benguet this January 10 – 16, 2020.
