Elected Tabuk City LGBTQIA+ officers serve as PNP ‘force multipliers’ against terrorism


Tabuk City, Kalinga – The newly sworn-in officers of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual (LGBTQIA+) in Tabuk City, Kalinga will serve as force multipliers of the Philippine National Police in its campaign against terrorism.


The LGBTQIA+ in said town was formed in 2021 by the now Advisers - Police Staff Sergeant Ramos Palangyo of Kalinga Provincial Forensic Unit and Police Chief Master Sergeant Alvius Cordero of PNP-Tabuk City to engage the sector in the agency’s fight against communist insurgency.

The sector’s organization is in line with the national directives on mobilizing force multipliers, informed Palangyo.


On Monday, November 14, the new set of officers took their oath of office in the Provincial Governor’s Office, Capitol Hills, Bulanao Tabuk City, Kalinga.


The LGBTQIA+ - Tabuk City will be led by President-elect Guillermo I. Bonilla and Vice-President Edmund D. Galinggan.

Other officers are Shamgar Louie N. Candelario as Secretary, Oliver P. Esguerra as Treasurer, Thomas N. Bimbo as Auditor, Michael Miller C. Picat as Public Information Officer, Stephen P. Moga and Emmanuel F. Malianan as Business Managers, Caloy Bud-oy and Denver Mangay-ayam as Sentinels, and Alfranz Vebber Gayaman as Representative.


According to Palangyo, the organization, as part of the community, will join the government in implementing civic activities and programs. Their civic and welfare activities, he said, will be posted on their Facebook page - LGBTQIA+ Community - Tabuk Chapter.
