Gov. Tubban now back to work after recovering from Covid-19 infection

Tabuk City, Kalinga – Provincial Governor Ferdinand Tubban is now officially back to work after recovering from Covid-19 infection last February 8, 2021, saying that there are a lot more the provincial local government unit should do in the fight against the virus.


The governor lost his sense of taste on February 6 where he immediately submitted himself for a Rapid Antigen Test with a positive result. After this, he was tested for RT-PCR and his result came out positive as well, forcing him to undergo quarantine.

According to Kalinga Provincial Information Office, coming back to work this March 1, Tubban shared his reflections during the Thanksgiving prayer service performed by the pastors and lay ministers from the Provincial Council on Values Formation.


During his talk, he said that there are a lot more the Provincial Local Governmemt Unit should do in the Covid-19 fight, highlighting that the consensus of the heads of offices should be followed.

“Haan lang nga diay kayat ti maysa ti masurut, nu ti ket di diay pinagpanunutan ken consensus ti amin nga heads of offices,” he said.


“I believe in everyone’s capability in rendering their service. We have the same goal. We will keep Kalinga shining through this shared governance,” he added.


Meanwhile, the governor expressed his gratitude to the frontliners and the provincial local government officials and employees for their services and tireless efforts. He also thanked Board Member Frederick Pangsiw who took his post and acted as the Governor while he was in isolation to avoid delays in the services and transactions of the PLGU.
