IFSU lad, MPSPC lass reign as Mr. and Ms. CARASUC 2024

Tabuk City, Kalinga – A pair marked the beginning of a new chapter filled with commitment, advocacy, and responsibility after winning Mr. and Ms. CARASUC (Cordillera Administrative Region Association of State Universities and Colleges) 2024.

From a throng of 12 male and female candidates from the six state universities and colleges in the region, Ifugao State University’s pride Henry C. Estacio emerged victorious and was crowned Mr. CARASUC 2024 on May 1 at the BGVJR Memorial Gymnasium in Poblacion, Luna, Apayao.

Aside from winning the crown, he was also named Mr. Photogenic, Best Performer, Best in Regional Attire, Best in Barong Tagalog, and King of the Ramp.

Estacio, from the College of Business and Management of IFSU - Lagawe Campus, was proclaimed “Wigan di Lamut 2023” and was hailed as Mr. IFSU 2024 on April 17.

When posed with the question, “Pagkatapos ng paghilom, pagbangon, at pagsulong, magiging isang matatag ka ng indibidwal. Paano mo maipapakita na ikaw ay matatag?”

Estacio responded, “Paghilom, pagbangon, at pagsulong. Our theme challenges us all to heal as one. To recover from molds toast by our past, because it is in healing that we can stand up once again from our fault.”

Meanwhile, Loriegel L. Bigwil of Mountain Province State Polytechnic College (MPSPC) took home the coveted Miss CARASUC 2024 title. Her wit, grace and charisma not only distinguished her but also secured her victories in the Queen of the Ramp, Best in Regional Attire, and Ms. Congeniality categories.
