Tabuk City, Kalinga – The observance of All Souls’ Day, or Undas, in Kalinga was generally peaceful, according to Police Colonel (PCOL) Gilbert A. Fati-ig, Director of the Kalinga Provincial Police Office (KPPO).

In his remarks during the Kalinga Provincial Government’s flag-raising ceremony on Monday, November 3, 2025, Fati-ig said that monitoring teams were deployed across the province to assess the overall peace and order situation during the observance.

According to the police director, no major untoward incidents were recorded in any of the seven municipalities and the lone city of the province throughout the two-day commemoration.

However, Fati-ig noted that police recorded one traffic accident in Tabuk City, which was the only notable incident during the period.

“I would just like to inform you that the celebration of the two-day Undas had no major untoward incidents monitored or reported across the province of Kalinga. Sa lahat po ng tumulong para maging mapayapa ang Undas, maraming salamat po. Meron lang isang traffic accident na nangyari, so yun lang ang namonitor,” Fati-ig said.

In response to the positive report, Governor James Edduba commended the PNP, national line agencies, and other uniformed personnel for ensuring a safe and orderly observance of the religious holiday.

“I would like to congratulate the PNP, all the national line agencies, including all the uniformed personnel—the BJMP, the Philippine Army, and everyone behind the successful and peaceful conduct of Undas,” Edduba said.
