Kalinga LGU honors its PNPA, Coast Guard Officers Class graduates

Tabuk City, Philippines – As has been its tradition, the provincial government of Kalinga headed by Governor James Edduba recognized on Tuesday, April 11, its sons and daughter who recently graduated from Philippine National Police Academy and Philippine Coast Guard Education, Training and Doctrine Command Coast Guard Officers' Course.

To recall, six yKalingas were among the 208 members of Maaasahang Tagapagsilbi ng Inang Bayan na may Dangal at Katapatan na ang Layunin ay Kapayapaan (MASIKTALAK) Class of 2023 to graduate from the PNPA on March 10 at the Camp General Mariano Castañeda, Silang, Cavite.


The new Lieutenants and Inspectors of the Tri-Bureau service from Kalinga province include Ashley Nick Pagtan Edduba from Tinglayan/Tabuk City; Eriq Ambong Omawis from Tabuk City; Tekson Yu-ing Liddawa from Tanudan/Tinglayan; Stephen Dangangao Palicas from Tanudan; and Jeneva Rose Domatog Bucalen and Job Basungit Angli from Tinglayan. Bucalen was recognized as Dean’s and Commandant’s Lister.


Only Omawis, Edduba, Liddawa, and Palicas were able to attend the provincial recognition held after the flag ceremony. Bucalen and Angli were already assigned to their respective bureaus, according to the Provincial Information Office.

The governor who attended their graduation ceremony extended his felicitations anew, this time with a certificate of recognition.


On April 04, another six trainees from the province graduated from CGOC Class 29-2022 "Charlie" and CGOC Class 30-2022 "Alpha" at the Regional Training Center Bataan, NPC Village, Bagac, Bataan.


Said graduates are Luke Luwell Langkit from Bangad, Tinglayan; Nicole Ashley Sallidao (Top 6, Achievers Award) from Madukayan and Tabuk City; Kate Siway from Bayabat, Dilag, Tabuk City; Gearald Kris Dawagan (Top 7, Achievers Award) from Agbannawag, Tabuk City; Gideon Bang-as from Bangad, Tinglayan; and Larry Bantiyag (Military Merit Medal and Three Counts, Junior Choice Awardee of PMMA) from Uma, Lubuagan.

They will soon be assigned to Coast Guard commands and units to aid the PCG in implementing its mandate.


The PNPA and CGOC graduates, Edduba said, serve as an inspiration to their fellow yKalinga youth to take part not only in uplifting their families’ status but to help in the performance of government services.


The governor, through Provincial Human Resource Management Office further arranged a testimonial dinner exclusive for the new graduates and their relatives, friends and acquaintance.


In response, the graduates expressed gratitude for the acknowledgment of those under the umbrella of Kalinga PLGU.
